Howdy all, the weather has prompted the onset of our season ahead. We kick off on Tuesday the 7th Of May. I’ve had several Pm’s with people chomping at the bit to get out there, the weather should have settled by then and we should be good for a 6:30 – 8:30 as normal. Don’t forget we are there every Tuesday night till the dark nights return. As per the AGM, would people please hunt around behind sofa’s for loose change, we are going to have a means for collecting some contributory funds each week this can be 1s,2s,5s, heck even 10ps. Lets see how long it takes to fill the bottle.

Another Game Won !!! 9-5

Howdy all, well done for last week, some solid hits and some good teamwork, the ball bounced well on the freshly cut grass. Both Leison Smith and Logan Kung both put the ball over the plate well, Logan has been putting a lot of practice in and it showed. Olivia Bell can still throw a ball well, nearly broke my thumb.

This is our usual Tuesday night off, so nobody there tonight and i’m away the next Tuesday which means we will be scheduled for Tuesday the 8th Of August, i know that a lot of our regulars are on holiday now so hopefully we will be ship shape for then.

A lot has been going on both with the field and with tournament travel, both good news at the moment but i can’t post till i’ve spoke with Kat and Mal.

There have been discussions about the North East having a youth team play in the National Finals in London and then the European finals in April ’18 in Prague (Czech Rep), that would be brilliant. Hopefully we would have some talent to take to either event.

Stay tuned for other updates as i have asked to play games in the next couple of weeks which aren’t necessarily on Tuesdays so i will post to see who could make them. Keep safe guys and girls !!!!!!

Next Session Tues May 16th

Howdy all. Its been a bit of a mad week. The ‘Seaton Diamond Saga’ roles on. I have been given ‘mission impossible’ with regards to a free run of Seaton, this was never expected i can not see why anyone would oppose the playing of sports in a public
park !!!
However i have always done things by the book with the Councils Sports Team so i have to at least give it my best shot. I’ve got a week and a half to draft up proposals and arrange a public consultation and tweak our insurance.Without full backing we can’t use the park for planned events.

With that in mind: We WILL be back on Seaton Park on the 16th Of May 17. Fiery Hoops

Tuesday Night Training.

Yes, it was little cold Tuesday night. Big respect for everyone who braved it. The 3G are good in the off season but they are very expensive. Tomorrow Kat Mal Leison and I are at the Sports Domes, they have an American Themed day. That doesn’t mean we are pointing missiles at North Korea, but we are setting the pitching machine up indoors and letting people have an ‘at bat’, hopefully this will get some much needed publicity. I think there is an American themed BBQ and Bouncy Castle Etc, Etc. Have a pop down. As for the next move stay tuned the next E-Mail is about what we can do with Seaton Park, i got fobbed off too much last year so i’m starting early. See you all soon.

Almost forgot, play of the session was undoubtely Kimberley Dubovec Miller. Text book flyball catch. Others just blamed frostbite on dropped catches, pitiful.
